Fighting Silence With Science
Mythology surrounds mental illness,
The beliefs that it’s rare and imagined,
Even somehow a failing of character.
This misinformation leads to stigma.
This stigma leads to silence.
That silence can be deadly.
Mental illness thrives in unjust cycles,
It resists illumination, thwarts empathy.
Leaving behind a wake of desperation.
To stop it, we must drag mental illness into the light.
Show the world that it’s measurable, real & beatable.
It is a disease, not a delusion.
It's a battle of science vs silence, and we will win.
